At age 11, I drew a profile portrait of Linda Frizzle. She liked it and we became friends. I went to the park every Sunday with her parents. Next I invented this flying wing with an airport in the wing cavity. General Morgan loved it and sent it to the war department. Later I drew this telescoping ballistic rocket. General Morgan gave me my first drawing table. I got a cool letter from the war dept. There was an architect on Main Street, on the walk home from school. I bugged this designer to draw me something to copy. He gave me an elevation of an aircraft carrier. I repeated the sketch fifty times, and that is the start of my art form.
